Without worrying about setting up bridges and repeaters, the configuration is much easier and we can use any wireless routers we want. I bought a second wireless router which has a printer port trying to make the printer available within my net. I could use this one to access the printer. But I already set up my original wireless router to work with the DSL modem.

There is already one in the house and if I do so, there will be 2 internet account with 2 different modems running in the same house. Is there anything I need to do or I can confelf as long as I am not plugging the 2 modems to the same internet cable? I intend to use the 2nd modem from office in my basement where there are some poor reception

From there, you can hook up your own wireless router and create your own wireless/wired network upstairs with all your computers and devices. Granted, this is if Cox allows you to have 2 modems in the same house. And if they do, I'm betting they won't let that go for free.

In the second router, set it to use an unused address in the subnet of the modem/router, and an address that is outside the DHCP pool of the modem/router. Disable the DHCP service in the second router.
